All matches in AWESOME will be held under the following rules;

Time Limits

A standard match is one fall with a 15 minute time limit.

On some occassions matches between rookies will be contested under a 10 minute time limit.
 
Matches for secondary titles such as the cruiserweight, Totally Awesome MySpace Title and women's titles will have a 20 minute time limit.

Matches for the Championship of AWESOME, the tag team titles, legends matches and specialty stipulation matches will have a 30 minute time limit

 Match Rules

Matches in AWESOME are held under traditional American Professional Wrestling rules. A match can be won (in order of priority) by pinfall, submission (tap out), count out or disqualification. A referee has discretion on which offenses result in automatic disqualification and which are given a standing 5 count. Because an out of ring count out overrides a disqualification; infractions that would cause a disqualification in the ring (such as using a chair) do not cause one outside of the ring because the referee's duty is to administer the 10 count. The exception to this is outside intereference which is always an automatic disqualification even if a pinfall is occuring. 

AWESOME has two minor rules changes from traditional American rules. Because it is the 21st century and top rope maneuvers are expected from both fans and wrestlers; there is no need for a referee to count when a wrestler takes to the top rope. Likewise because tagteam wrestling is a unique art, a double team maneuver is legal in tagteam matches after a legal tag has been made. The tagging team may use all 5 seconds of the ref's count (which does not begin until the freshly tagged wrestler has completely entered the ring) without fear of disqualification. At the end of the 5 seconds the referee then instructs the non-legal team member to begin leaving the ring; and his standard discretion is applied in enforcing that rule.

Title Defenses

The Championship of AWESOME must be defended every 30 days. All other titles must be defended every 60 days.

Scouting Area

AWESOME provides a scouting area for talent to observe other matches. Any fighting between wrestler in the scouting area is grounds for an automatic suspension.
