Like many of the youth of his generation, Mike Matixx is constantly plugged into his MySpace account. So when Radical Robby Morrison became MySpace champion, he became Matixx’s favorite wrestler. Since AWESOME does not usually hire rookies, Matixx, who had been training at Commissioner Joe Rules wrestling school in New Brunswick, took a security job at Cruel Summer. However when Morrison and Taylor Nicole hit the ring for a MySpace title match, Matixx seized the microphone and literally got on his knees and begged Morrison to accept his friend request. The sucking up to Morrison and Nicole’s ego worked and he was granted membership in Morrison’s Commune

Initially Matixx’s sole job in the group seemed to be interfering for Morrison and Nicole (and usually taking a beating for his efforts). However once Matixx embraced Morrison’s hippie philosophy to the ridiculous extreme of carrying a green tambourine everywhere he goes, Morrison took more of a liking to his protégé and lobbied on his rookie gopher’s behalf to get him a match with the first rookie to win an AWESOME contract Mark Modest. While Modest defeated Matixx in their first encounter on Independence Day, at Summer Jam Matixx scored a pinfall victory over Modest when Morrison interfered on his behalf. As per the AWESOME bylaws if you can score a victory over a contracted you yourself earn an AWESOME contract.

Matixx seems intent on continuing his rivalry with Modest, leading some to speculate that he jealous of how Modest earned both his contact and the respect of the fans by never backing down from even the most impossible odds whereas conversely Matixx literally begged his way into a job here. With the experience of the Commune on his side Matixx should have a bright future here in AWESOME provided he doesn’t get killed standing between Morrison and his many enemies first.
