Two Jersey Shore talents to square off in tournament qualifying match
June 10 - Vice President of Talent Relations has announced the signing of two new Jersey Shore based talents to the AWESOME roster; who will compete against each other at Cruel Summer on June 15 in Seaside Heights, NJ at American Legion Post 351, 1400 Bay Blvd. with an 8 p.m. bell time. Those talents include Lil' Ricky of Toms River and Doctor K of Jackson.
Lil' Ricky should be no stranger to fans of Jersey Shore wrestling. In his younger years he was a top player in Phoenix Championship Wrestling. At the time Ricky's brash and outspoken ways brought him into conflict with many of the veterans of the PCW lockerroom as well as with a radio DJ, the Mayor of Point Pleasant and WWE's Mickie James. Yet more often than not "The Next Little Thing" was victorious with his Rick-0-Chet superkick variation.
In the intervening years since PCW shut down, Ricky has ventured to Ring of Honor to ply his craft and improve his technical wrestling skills. While there Ricky embraced their motto of "respect, honor and disicipline" and has tunred over a new leaf in his career as rule-abiding popular fan favorite.
"I had the opportunity to watch Ricky's career develop in PCW first hand," said Mr. Lebowski. "Several members of management and officiating team were part of the PCW lockerroom. Ricky is an outstanding talent with loads of charisma. He will make a fine addition to the AWESOME locker room."
"I've worked long and hard to get back to the Jersey Shore," said Ricky. "I think fans who have not seen in me in the last few years are going to be amazed at how much further I've come in my career. And now that this Elite promotion has opened up so close to my hometown, I will compete as hard as I can to be the Champion of AWESOME."
Facing off against Lil' Ricky is Doctor K; a 250 lb. bruiser who first started wrestling on the Jersey Shore in 2002. This demented doctor uses the knowledge he learned in medical school to practice submission-based wrestling claimed the Crippler Crossface and Texas Cloverleaf among his signature holds.
"Ricky you claim to now abide by a code of honor and respect. Well those concepts mean nothing to me. I care about winning and inflicting pain and come June15 at Cruel Summer you will find out that the Doctor is In," exclaimed Doctor K.
"Doctor K is a legitimate heavyweight and helps round out roster's depth of having competitors in just about evey major style of the sport so we can provide matches that appeal to every taste. His match-up with Ricky should be highly anticipated as we head into this big show. Both men are Jersey Shore born and bred and so both have extra incentive to rise to the top of our promotion," said Mr. Lebowski.
In other news Mr. Lebowski has sanctioned a bout between the 350lb. Samoan destroyer Franciz and young rookie Motley Mike Notar.
"Franciz is the only man to already qualify for the tournament as a result of his Opportunity of a Lifetime Battle Royal win when he tossed 14 out of 22 competitors over the top rope. Notar had his first match ever in the Jan. 6 battle royal and is looking for additional opportunity in AWESOME. With Franciz already qualified; my office decided to let this rookie step up and show his courage against one of our most feared competitors."
"I am excited about this chance," said Notar, "and on June 15 at Cruel Summer I will rock the house and surprise the wrestling world."
Franciz seemed unconcerned with the rookie's challenge. "Ha ha ha. Fresh meat. Bring it on," he smirked.
Two more matches added to Cruel Summer on June 15 in Seaside Heights
Playboy Vik Voorhees to challenge Jay Blaze at Cruel Summer
June 6 - Vice president of Talent Relations Bodhi Lebowski has announced the signing of the Playboy Vik Voorhees to the AWESOME roster. Mr. Voorhees tips the scales at 330 lbs. A bruising competitor in the ring the Playboy claims the be the ladies choice outside the ring with his silk shirts and disco dance moves.
"Mr. Voorhees is yet another Elite Star Of Mat Entertainment who will be a credit to our roster," said Mr. Lebowski. "Here is a competitor who by virtue of his size alone will be a major threat to the titles here in AWESOME; however I think Vik will surprise a lot of his foes not just with his power but with the surprising burts of speed he can generate. At the same time while our fans will no doubt disagree with his in-ring tactics, Mr. Voorhees can be highly entertaining with his Playboy persona. Simply put Mr. Voorhees is exactly the kind of athlete we like to sign here at AWESOME; one who will contribute both in and out of the ring to the quality of our shows."
With the signing of Commissioner Joe Rules will be pairing him off against a familiar foe at June 15th's Cruel Summer in Seaside HeightsAmerican Legion Post 351, 1400 Bay Blvd., Seaside Heights NJ 08751; when the Playboy battles the returning Jay Blaze in a tournament qualifying match. These two battled off and on for years in the early part of the decade and that familiarity should lead to yet another excellent match on what is becoming one of the most stacked line-ups in years.
"Well Jay . . Jay . . .Jay, you got your comeback on, and everyone calling you the Rocky story of 2007. Well your story is about to have an unhappy ending. See you should have stayed on the shelf where you belong because no the Playboy is going to put you there permanently," said Mr. Voorhees. "And then when I'm done pounding you into jelly, I'm going to take all the ladies in the audience down to the Seaside Clubs and dance the night away."
"I knew making a comeback would not be easy," said Mr. Blaze, "but I am determined to win the match and then win the tournament in July. Hey I've faced Vik Voorhees before and yes win, lose or draw there is no doubt I'm going to come out of this beat up and sore. But Vik I'm telling you right now on June 15 you are going down in a Blaze of Glory!"
Myspace Title to be defended by Radical Robby against Steve Camacho
In other news, Commissioner Rules has announced that Radical Robby Morrison will be forced to defend his Totally AWESOME MySpace Championship against mixed martial arts expert Steve Camacho. Camacho was absolutely dominant when he faced Morrison in the Four Winds of Destiny match last January; however fell victim to a double team from behind as Morrison went out to barely squeak out a victory due to outside interference.
Presented with this title opportunity, Camacho was brief in his comments while training in his dojo in New York.
"I am very appreciative of Commissioner Joe Rules for awarding me another shot at the title. I think everyone knows that in one on one competition no one on the roster is as focused and knows more ways to win a match than me. I'm an expert in both striking and submissions and I will let performance in the ring do the rest of my talking for me on June 15 at Cruel Summer."
Morrison's face seemed to go ashen when informed of the title defense but he soon regained his cocky laid back demeanor.
"Baby, so Camacho is a mixed martial artist; and that's the latest hot trend in cable television. Well let me tell you about trends. They only last a short time before something else takes them over in the popular consciousness. Trends may come and trends may go; but Grooviness is never outdated! And Radical Robby Morrison is the Guru of Grooviness, baby! Besides I've studies marial arts, and yoga and feng shui so how tough can he really be. At the end of the night I will still be your Myspace Champion and Camacho will learn just like everyone else that if you think you can compete with Radical Robby Morrison well then Baby you're the one living in a Tye-Dyed Dream!"
Jay Blaze to come out of retirement and compete in qualifying match

June 2 - In an annoucement that is as shocking as it is welcome by the fans, fiery sensation Jay Blaze will be coming out of retirement to compete in a qualifying match for the Championship of AWESOME tournament!
How and when did this happen? The story of the biggest comeback since Rocky Balboa can now be told!
As fans may remember Jay Blaze was one of the most promising cruiserweight contenders on the New Jersey independent circuit from his debut match in 2001 until a serious back injury derailed his career in 2004. Then this past December Jay Blaze signed on as a commentator for AWESOME. Well Mr. Blaze reveals that once he started sitting ringside for AWESOME's Elite in-ring action he began to get the itch to compete again himself.
"The first thing I did was get a complete physical from some of the top athletic doctors in the Northeast," explained Mr. Blaze. "Once they cleared me for competition I spoke to [vice president of talent relations] Mr. [Bodhi] Lebowski and Commissioner Joe Rules. Mr. Lebowski that despite the respect he had for my past accomplishments I would have to prove that I could still compete at my previous level before he switch my contract over from broadcaster to wrestler."
With that in mind Jay Blaze took on a serious physical training regimen. After months in the gym working an advanced weights and cardio program, Jay contacted Commissioner Joe Rules and began utilizing the Commissioner's in-ring training facility in New Brunswick.
"When Jay stepped in my ring for the first time I couldn't believe this was an athlete who had been out of in-ring competition for over three years," said Commissioner Rules. "His ring timing and the crispness of his maneuvers was impeccable. Clearly Jay Blaze was taking his comeback training very seriously and I told Mr. Lebowski not only should we reinstate Mr. Blaze but we should offer him the opportunity to compete in the Championship tournament."
"Joe Rules has been around professional wrestling for over 15 years. If he feels Jay is back in form that's good enough for me," said Mr. Lebowski. "I think for our newer fans who have never seen Jay Blaze wrestle they are going to be quite thrilled with this development once they seem him compete for themselves live at Cruel Summer on June 15 at Seaside Heights American Legion Post 351, 1400 Bay Blvd., Seaside Heights NJ 08751 at 8 p.m."
"I am so thrilled to be back in the ring," said Jay. "and especially to be back at a promotion here like AWESOME. This really is where American Wrestling's Elite Stars Of Mat Entertainment compete. When I was calling the action as a commentator I realized the competition here was the best I've ever seen assembled in one promotion. I look forward to renewing some old rivalries with foes like Latin Revolution or Travis Blake. I look forward to reteaming with old friends like Biggie Biggs and Chris Steeler and if needed to win the tournament facing them as well. And I look forward to facing meeting some new opponents in the ring - - competitors like Eric Cooper, Fierce Fuego, Franciz, Rhett Titus - really there are just so many Stars on this roster that if you are a true competitor get you excited about possibly facing one day. One thing I will guarantee now that Jay Blaze is back everyone else is going down in a Blaze of Glory!"

Rookie challenge match added to Cruel Summer
Mark Modest to take on Cory Havoc
May 31 - Vice President of Talent Relations Bodhi Lebowski has added a special rookie challenge match to the Cruel Summer show on June 15 at Seaside Heights American Legion Post 351 with a stipulation that the winner will earn a full time spot on the AWESOME roster.
Competing in this match-up will be 16-year-old Mark Modest of nearby Toms River against the big mean bruiser known as Cory Havoc. Modest and Havoc are no strangers to each other as both competitors made their professional wrestling debut in the same battle royal late last year. However in the intervening time Havoc found himself wrestling more often than the local youngster; no doubt in part because of his larger size. Havoc stands at 6' 4", 237 lbs. compared to Modest's 5' 11" 182 lb frame.
Mark Modest vs Cory Havoc from January
At January's Era of AWESOMEness Begins event the two athletes paths crossed once more when both men entered the Opportunity of a Lifetime Battle Royal where the winner would recieve both a full time contract as well as a title tournament berth. In that competition Modest used his speed and agility to avoid a running big boot and eliminated Havoc. Havoc was the first of five consecutive foes Modest would eliminate as he rallied late in the match before falling prey to the 350 pound Samoan destroyer known as Franciz. In the intervening months since the Era of AWESOMEness Begins there has been a groundswell of fan support for Modest to be signed to contract anyway based on his impressive performance in the Battle Royal, where he not only had the second most eliminations but also lasted the longest drawing the #1 seed and staying in the ring until the 22nd and final competitor had entered.
Havoc meanwhile has seethed since the two rookies last met; feeling he has been overlooked by AWESOME management in all the talk about Modest's late match rally. Considering Havoc's normal disposition is rather unpleasant to begin with, Modest could be in for a long night.
"Look Modest is nothing more than a punk who got lucky in January," stated Havoc. "In a real match with pinfalls he could absolutely never defeat me. Just because we're both rookies does not mean we are anything alike. Modest is a naive boy who thinks there is a place for sportsmanship and fair play in this sport. I am man; and long before I stepped into the ring to wrestle I was in plenty of fights and I always enjoyed hurting people in them. This kid gets lucky, costs me a chance to qualify for a title tournament and now thinks he can win a contract at my expense on June 15. I am going to hurt him and I am going to embarress him in front of his hometown fans and there is nothing anyone can do about it."
"I am not afraid of Cory Havoc," said Modest. "Heck I am not afraid of any competitor no matter how big they are. My dream is to make a name for myself in this sport; and to do that I need to become of a member of the AWESOME roster. This is the greatest promotion in the world. This where the Elite compete. If I am going to be the best one day I need to be competing against them."
"I'm so happy with the fan support I've recieved in the months since January," Modest continued. "I am honored that the fans think my efforts last time should get me a contract. But the fact is I didn't win when I needed to. But I don't make excuses. I've worked and trained very hard to be ready for this second chance. And I promise my fans, my family and most of myself that this time I will win and I will earn my spot on this roster."
The rookie challenge is the fifth match to be announced so far for Cruel Summer on June 15. Previously announced is a six man tag featuring former ECW and WWE superstar the Blue Meanie teaming with the superheroic Johnny Cockstrong & Soy Boy against Dirty Don Montoya and the Sneaky Silver Bullets; a Seaside Street Fight with Biggie Biggs vs Lord Jasin Karloff in a no rules, no countout, no disqualification, all weapons legal encounter; plus a pair of tournament qualifying matches with Lucha Libre star Fierce Fuego taking on "Simply Stellar" Travis Blake and a battle of two mat wrestling stars when Rhett Titus of Ring of Honor battles "the Modern Day Enforcer" Eric Cooper.
Tickets for Cruel Summer are on sale now at 12 ticket outlets in Ocean County as well as online via Pay Pal at www.awesomewrestlingonline.com or by calling the Live Event Hotline at 732-607-6306. Tickets are $15 for Adults and $12 for children 13 and under. Bell time is 8 p.m. and doors to open to the Public at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 15 at Seaside Heights American Legion Post 351, 1400 Bay Blvd., Seaside Heights, NJ 08751.
Blue Meanie accepts challenge for six man tag match
Superhero tandem of Cockstrong & Soy Boy to join Meanie against Montoya & Bullets
Johnny Cockstrong (left) & Soy Boy
May 29 - Director of talent relations Bodhi Lebowski reports that he has received word from former ECW and WWE Superstar the Blue Meanie and that Da Blue Guy has accepted the challenge of Dirty Don Montoya and the Sneaky Silver Bullets for a six man tag match at Cruel Summer on Friday, June 15, 2007 at 8 p.m. at the Seaside Heights American Legion Post 351, 1400 Bay Blvd., Seaside Heights, NJ 08751.
So with all of the Meanie’s experience competing in six man tags with the bWo or stepping in the ring with world champions like Raven, JBL and Mick Foley; just who has he selected as his partners?
None other than AWESOME’s resident superheroic dynamic duo of Johnny Cockstrong and his faithful sidekick Soy Boy.
“Holy Bolt from the Blue,” exclaimed Soy Boy when he heard the news.
“I know the crowd loves us for our comedy, but if I be can serious for a second this is a great honor and a wonderful opportunity for us; and we are going to give the Meanie everything we have to reward his faith in us,” said Johnny.
“And hey not to sound ‘Cocky’,” added Johnny with a smile, “but me and Soy have held our share of tag team titles in other New Jersey promotions as a duo so I think we can match the Bullets double team for double team and I have every confidence that Meanie can take care of Montoya.”
"What kind of superheros are Cockstrong and Soy Boy," said Montoya. "They don't even wear masks! So they have capes. My partners - - The Sneaky Silver Bullets; they have both capes and masks! Those are kind of superheros the kids can look up to."
"Besides who knows more about six man tag teams than me," continued Montoya. "Sure the Meanie got famous with the Blue World Order, but I'm from Badstreet, Trenton and Badstreet is where the six man tag was invented. Come Cruel Summer me and my Bullets will show why we are the greatest team in the history of the world!"
“This match is a microcosm of what AWESOME as a promotion stands for,” said Mr. Lebowski. “We have a bonafide legend in this business, we have talented veterans and we have young exciting newcomers all in the same match. Furthermore all six men can be tremendously funny and entertaining. I think I can safely promise that this will be the most entertaining match in Indy wrestling this year.”
Tickets for this exciting once-in-a-lifetime encounter are available now at the low price of $15 for adults and $12 for children 13 and under. Tickets are on sale via Pay Pal at www.awesomewrestlingonline.com, at 12 ticket outlets in Ocean County (listed on the website), or by calling the ticket event hotline at 732-607-6306. So don’t delay; purchase your tickets today before they sell out.
Don Montoya & Sneaky Silver Bullets sign with AWESOME
Challenge issued to Blue Meanie
May 25 - Vice President of Talent Relations Bodhi Lebowski is pleased to announce the signings of veteran indy wrestling star Dirty Don Montoya and the masked tag team of the Sneaky Silver Bullets.

Montoya is an accomplished veteran pro wrestler. Originally known as a high impact super heavyweight, Montoya has slimmed down over the years and now relies on a mix of technical wrestling, brawling and illicit tactics that have earned him his "Dirty" nickname in securing victories. Montoya is also an accomplished trainer and his biggest success has been the creation of the tagteam the Sneaky Silver Bullets. Like their mentor the Bullets are not above using any tactic to win a match. All three competitors have held numerous titles throughout the northeast and will make fine additions to the AWESOME roster.
"I am very excited by this signing," said Mr. Lebowski. "What makes Montoya and the Bullets really stand out is they are not only excellent wrestlers; they are superb sports entertainers. There is a reason that AWESOME stands for American Wrestling's Elite Stars Of Mat Entertainment. We want athletes who understand the Entertainment aspect of this sport. Well with Montoya and the Bullets we have that quality in abundance! Members of my administration once saw Montoya take on 10-year-old Colby Corino and five months later they are still laughing about what they saw. Our fans no doubt will strongly disagree with the in-ring tactics of Montoya and the Bullets, but I have no doubt they will be entertained by their matches."
Upon signing their contracts with AWESOME, Montoya and the Bulletts immediately issued a challenge to the Blue Meanie and any two partners of his choice for a six man tag match in the double main event of June 15th's Cruel Summer.
"When fans talk about the greatest three man units ever, far too many of them bring up the Blue World Order instead of us," said Montoya. "Well we have come to AWESOME to prove that we know more about six man tag action than the Blue Meanie. So we say here and now that it doesn't matter what two partners the Meanie chooses come June 15 at the Seaside Heights American Legion me and my boys are going to make it a Cruel Summer indeed for the Meanie as we continue on our path to world domination."
Joe Rules announces two new matches for Cruel Summer
May 19 - Commissioner Joe Rules announced two new matches for Cruel Summer on Friday, June 15 at Seaside Heights American Legion Post 351, 1400 Bay Blvd., Seaside Heights NJ 08751 as well as elaborating on the show's name.
"I'm sure many fans are wondering why we would call this show Cruel Summer," said Joe Rules in a conference call from his office. "after all AWESOME is a Jersey Shore company and what is more fun than summer at the Shore? Well besides the already announced Biggie Biggs vs Lord Jasin Karloff Seaside Street Fight; we are also running numerous qualifying matches for our July Championshuip Tournament. So while the winners will advance into the tournament for the losers they are on the outside looking in and that clearly makes it the start of a Cruel Summer for them."
The first qualifying match announced for Cruel Summer on June 15 will feature Mexican Lucha Libre star Fierce Fuego vs "Simply Stellar" Travis Blake. Fuego is undefeated so far in his American tour here at AWESOME while Blake comes off a hard fought loss against WWE Legend the Patriot.
"First of all I did not lost that match with Patriot," said Blake. "I was clearly the victim of incompetant officiating. Now it seems the powers that be here think its funny to put me in the ring with yet another masked man. Are they try to throw in a ringer? Because I am a wrestler of the highest order. I study film of my opponnents. Well it doesn't matter who they bring in there. It is my destiny to be the Champion of AWESOME and no matter who I face they are going to learn that no one is as Stellar as Travis Blake."
"I am quite honored to be given a chance to qualify for this prestigious tournament," said Fuego. "The Jersey Shore fans have been quite welcoming and I have very much enjoyed the level of competiton I have faced. I came to this country to burn a path to the top and on June 15 Travis Blake will feel the burn."
In addition, a second match has been added which should be a pure technical wrestling fans dream match as Ring of Honor star and Jersey Shore native Rhett Titus will take on the Modern Day Enforcer Eric Cooper.
"After the first AWESOME show I told this site that intened to make the jump to the heavyweight division and become the first champion," said Titus. "I am quite pleased to have my application to qualify accepted by the officials here and now I am going to train to be my best and win."
"Everyone talks about what a great mat wrestler Titus is," said Cooper. "Well I think they have forgotten why I am called the Modern Day Enforcer. When it comes to working a body part there is no one in my league. I am going take Titus to the mat and teach him a wrestling lesson on my way to qualifying for this tournament."
"I think Commissioner Rules is doing a fantastic job," said Vice President of Talent Relations Bodhi Lebowski. "When I signed these competitors it was with the knowledge that we could present fresh match-ups and top to bottom cards that offer something for everyone. Looking at the first four matches annoucned for Cruel Summer that is exactly for our fans on June 15. Fans of entertainment will get a lot of enjoyment out of ECW legend the Blue Meanie's appearance. Fans of hardcore brawling are going to thrill to the Seaside Street Fight between Biggs and Karloff and now fans of pure in-ring wrestlng have not one but two matches to be absolutely thrilled about. Cruel Summer is indeed going to be an AWESOME show!"
ECW legend the Blue Meanie to debut at Cruel Summer
May 17 - Vice President of Talent Relations Bodhi Lebowski is pleased to announce the arrival of the Blue Meanie to the AWESOME roster.
The Blue Meanie first arrived on the national television scene in late 1995 as a friend of Dancin’ Stevie Richards, who gained membership for the Meanie in Raven’s Flock; a group dedicated to protecting the interests of Raven when he was ECW World Champion. Meanie would turn many heads early on with his execution of the moonsault in some of his early victories.
By 1996 Meanie and Richards were becoming cult favorites for their comedy antics and impersonations of wrestlers from WCW and the WWE. From this inspiration the duo met Nova and together formed the Blue World Order. The bWo became an immediate success with fans and their merchandise was the top selling t-shirt in the history of ECW.
In 1997 when Richards jumped to WCW, Meanie and Nova dropped the bWo comedy and established themselves as legitimate tag team force wrestling on several ECW Pay Per Views against teams like the FBI.
By 1998 Blue Meanie arrived in the WWE as a part of Al Snow’s Job Squad stable, but he quickly moved into a feud with Goldust based on his old Bluedust impersonation he had done in his ECW days. Following a Pay Per View encounter with Goldust in February of 1999, the duo formed a bizarre yet memorable partnership that lasted for several months as Meanie aided Goldust in capturing the Intercontinetal title. Later still Meanie would reunited with Richards in the WWE and the pair would form an alliance with former WWE Champion Mick Foley.
Following his departure from WWE, Meanie returned to his roots and wrestled extensively and with great success in the
“There is no denying Meanie’s value as an entertainer, but as Commissioner I am excited about his vast in-ring abilities,” said Commissioner Joe Rules. “To have an athlete who has competed on Pay Per View for two different national companies; and has both teamed with and fought against several world champions in his career is very exciting for us as a promotion and for our fans. I will be working very closely with Mr. Lebowski’s office to find an opponent for the Meanie that will maximize all the skills he brings to the table.”
Commissioner Rules also had a second announcement regarding June 15th’s Cruel Summer show.
“After extensive talks with our officiating team, I have sanctioned a Seaside Street Fight between Biggie Biggs and Lord Jasin Karloff,” stated Commissioner Rules. “This match has been months in the making, but after witnessing the hatred these two men have for each other, it is my opinion as Commissioner that the only way to for them to settle their issue is to let them fight it out without a disqualification preventing a clear winner.”
The Seaside Street Fight will be a no disqualification, no count out, all weapons legal display of carnage between these two heated rivals. This encounter has been building since January when Karloff intentionally got disqualified by assaulting Biggie Biggs with the walking stick he carries to the ring and then placed a chair over Biggie’s throat and came off the top rope in attempt to end the popular star’s career. Fortunately Biggie avoided Karloff’s jump and the ensuing brawl required a dozen wrestlers to break the fight between the two up.
“Karloff! Do you hear that sound? Tick Tock. Tick Tock. That is clock winding down to June 15 when I got my hands on you again,” stated Biggs. “If you think six months of waiting has made me less angry, you are sadly mistaken. These past six months have just fueled the fire you lit in January. Well on Friday, June 15; Cruel Summer; it all comes to a head.
Meanwhile Biggs’ opponent had his own dark view on the upcoming match. “People think I tried to end your career as a publicity stunt. To make a name for myself. As always these people are wrong,” said Karloff. “Despite what these sun worshippers on the Shore think, life is not fun and games. It is darkness and pain. And when I see you coming to the ring; dancing with the crowd and having fun with them and it offends me to the core of my soul. I am in this sport because of the violence it allows me to perpetuate. And now at this show, so aptly named Cruel Summer, you will see just what pain is. No mater what twisted vision enters my nightmares in preparation of our match I can carry it out and no one can stop me. No one can disqualify me for it. And most importantly Biggs, no one can save you.”

An important message directly from our CEO
Jan 19 - Fans at this time I must announce that AWESOME has irrevocably ended its relationship wtih AWF-R. While in the short term this will necessitate the delaying of our winter show schedule; long term this will be a benefit to our company.
Simply put the person in charge of AWF-R is the single most unreliable person I ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Other officials in that organization are of extremely poor character. And no one in that organization has any understanding of eiher business or the sport of professional wrestling.
Make no mistake, AWESOME will be just fine without AWFR. In our first show, AWESOME had 150 paid or 2.5 times as many people as AWFR has ever drawn on their own on their best day. So stay tuned Jersey Shore wrestling fans AWESOME will announce new dates soon as we intend to bring about a complete summer schedule of fun as only a Jersey Shore based company can provide.

Liz Savage signs with AWESOME
Deadly Diva to Debut at Era of AWESOMEness Begins!
Beautiful. Sexy. Intelligent. Devious. Evil. These are some of the many words that have been used to describe Liz Savage, the newest talent to sign with American Wrestling's Elite Stars Of Mat Entertainment.
On Jan. 6th's Era of AWESOMEness Begins event to be held at Seaside Heights American Legion Post 351, 1400 Bay Blvd., Seaside Heights NJ 08751, this villianous vixen will make her debut but exactly what she intends to do is something of a mystery.
"This signing may cause a few headaches for our referees but sometimes doing what is best for the company isn't always the popular choice," said Vice President of Talent Relations Bodhi Lebowski. "Liz Savage is in my estimation the single most accomplished female manager on the entire independent wrestling circuit so when she applied for a manager's license with AWESOME, I didn't hesitate to approve her application. One thing is for sure, having Liz Savage on the roster will make things a lot more intersting around here."
Ms. Savage's record in the past three years speaks for itself as she has guided several wrestlers to gold throughout the Northeast and New England areas in heavyweight, tagteam and cruiserweight ranks. In addition when called upon Ms. Savage can mix it up in the ring with other female talents. She truly is as dangerous as she is beautiful.
"The talent of AWESOME is going to learn that if you want to be taken to the top there's only one woman who can get you there. But if you think I'm going to tip my hand before Saturday, well then you're dumber than you look," said Ms. Savage. "All you have to know is I will be in attendance and as always I'm going to be the most talked about, and sexiest, talent on the card."
Joe Rules named Commissioner of AWESOME
ling scene Joe Rules has been signed to be the Commissioner of AWESOME. Mr. Rules will be on hand to oversee all the action at the Jan. 6 Era of AWESOMEness Begins event held at the Seaside Heights American Legion Post 351, 1400 Bay Blvd., Seaside Heights NJ 08751 starting at 7p.m.
"Mr Rules has a long storied history in pro wrestling. As an in-ring competitor he was ranked in the PWI 500 in 1997. He has seen and done it all in the past 15 years including working as a manager, referee, promoter and trainer. He's just the man we need to keep law and order while furthering AWESOME's commitment to family friendly shows.," said Mr. Lebowski. "Indeed Mr. Rules is a good friend of former WWE Commissioner Mick Foley. We expect him to bring that same style of fan friendly and fair leadership to our brand."
Commissioner Joe Rules with former WWE Commisioner Mick Foley
"I had the opportunity to meet with Joe Rules last night," said Totally AWESOME Wrestling's lead commentator Jay Blaze. "I was very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge of the sport. I think the fans of AWESOME will take a real liking to Joe, and that the promotion will be well served by his tenure as Commissioner."
Indeed with trademark Hawaiian shirts, Joe Rules will no doubt fit right in with the Jersey Shore just like Zeppoles on the boardwalk.
"I'm quite pleased to accept this job as Commissioner of AWESOME," said Mr. Rules. "AWESOME is a promotion on the rise. When I interviewed for this position they told they expect the commissioner to be someone who can deal with the talent fairly yet firmly and also someone who will be accessible to the fans and their desires. I vow to live up to those standards and let people know that when Joe lays down the Rules it's not just a names, it's a fact."
